Today we had our first team building event as a grade level! O-204 wore red, O-204 wore purple, A-1 wore green, and A-2 wore blue. The classes came up with cheer performances before the event. Our cheer was a spin off of Pop See Ko! We had a lot of fun practicing and performing the routine.
First, Mr. Copple led a cool parachute hoop game. It was very challenging but nobody in our class gave up! Then Mrs. Roller led two exciting relay activities. We had to hold hands and use our bodies to get the hula hoop down the line. We also had to soak a sponge and squeeze as much as we can into a milk jug. Lastly, Mrs. Woods led a fun trivia game. Two representatives from each class had to ring a bell in order to answer questions.
After all of the games, we had a pizza picnic on the field followed by free recess time. Some students played sports while others hung out on their blankets. The yearbook staff came to take class photos and we ended the day with appreciations for everyone involved in the event. It wasn't important who the winners were. Today was all about working together and improving the teamwork of our class!
I hope all of you had a lot of fun spending time together outside! I have two questions for you.
1. How can we improve the "Fifth Grade Team Building Challenge" event for next year?
2. What are some ways we can continue to grow as a team this year?
I look forward to reading your answers!
Thanks,
Ms. Park
